Hi there, I'm Hailie!

Just a thirty year old who loves dogs and fantasy romance books a little too much!

I’ve been story-telling for as long as I can remember. From excitedly recounting events as a wee little girl, to staying up much too late making up stories as a preteen, to now, creating worlds in my mind and putting them to paper, story-telling always has and always will be in my soul.

I've always been enchanted by a good fairytale. One that could transport me from my mundane reality to somewhere magical, fantastical, with handsome strangers and daring sword fights. And dragons...lots of dragons. But I hated that feeling of emptiness I felt when that story was finished.

I wasn't a reader as a kid; I didn't have the patience for it. But I loved to daydream. So one summer, I picked up a pen, and created my own world. One where I could escape to any time I wanted.  Filled with new friends on every page, mythical beasts lurking in the shadows, and wild, dangerous lands just waiting to be explored. 

I haven't stopped writing since, and I don't have any plans to stop any time soon.

When I'm not writing, I'm wrangling two adorable little monsters (my children). I have a kind, handsome, little dude who is five, and a sassy little girl who's two...going on twelve! My super awesome writer husband and I also have three dogs that love causing trouble by eating any and everything, and giving wet, slobbery kisses.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Education, with an emphasis in History and English, though I never got around to using it. My son was diagnosed with autism at three years old, and I have stayed home raising the kids since.

Some fun facts about me are that I am a beauty school drop out. No, seriously, I am. I was nearly halfway through, but I injured myself (one of the lovely perks about being a clutz and having a chronic nerve disease that causes my nerves to be hyper-sensitive...yayyy, so much fun!) and ended up having to quit school because I ended up needing to have multiple surgeries in the course of that year. On the topic of surgeries, I've had twenty (cue "Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid). Yep, TWENTY! basically, anytime I go to a new doctor and have to fill out the previous surgeries form I need to ask for another paper. It's THAT obnoxious. Oh, and I spent about twelve years working as a dog bather and groomer. I've worked with all sorts of breeds. From tiny chihuahuas to wolves...yes, you read that right, WOLVES!
